Sri Damansara (Bandar Sri Damansara) is located in Klang Valley and is one of the many towns that teeter on an inconspicuous margin between Kuala Lumpur and Selangor. Being the recipient of the Fiabci Malaysia Property Award in 1996, the area is not to be ignored. Examples of residential developments include semi detached homes (Primrose, Pulasari), double story links (Iris/Ixora, Jasmine) and high rise units (Pradesa Mustica, Menara Demansara). Retail outlets for rent include ones at Jalan Cempaka, Jalan Damar and Jalan Tanjung.
Being considered a very well diversified community ethnically, it, too, shows itself to be as diverse in its human infrastructure. Schools include the International University College of Technology Twintech or IUCTT along with both private and government schooling. The area has mosques, banks, a community centre and is equipped with a police station. Food options include a good mix of Chinese, Malay, Indian and Western cuisine; options that suit the traditional palette of a not so traditional community.
