Iskandar Malaysia (IM) is the located south in Johor, Malaysia, near Singapore.

Where to shop

Shopping is one of the main reasons for tourism in IM.

Tebrau City
Tebrau City is a 20-30 mins drive from Singapore and is one of the biggest and newest shopping mall in Johor Baru (JB). It is a suitable place for family outings as it caters to people of all ages. The anchor tenant of Tebrau City is Jusco.

Plaza Pelangi
Plaza Pelangi is a neighborhood shopping mall with anchor tenant Metrojaya. Luxury grocery shop Cold Storage is located there.

Plaza Angsana
A place for textiles and mainly Malay textiles, costumes.

Famous dining spots

A huge range of cuisines are available in IM, from Malay restaurants to Chinese restaurants and even international restaurants for Japanese and western cuisine. Seafood is sold at a very cheap price and also cooked in different styles, with locations varying from the beach to shopping centres. Glutton Street is a famous place for Johor local delights, such as otak-otak and konlo wantan mee.

Famous restaurants include Chez Papa French Bistro, Gianni's Trattoria, Marina Seafood Restaurant, Huizu Hot Wok and many more.

Places of interest, facilities/amenities

Iskandar Malaysia has a wide range of facilities and amenities, providing residents with a great number of recreational activities.

Endau - Rompin National Park
It is home to the world's oldest rainforest (130 million years old) and also the rare Sumatran Rhino.

Located 100 kilometres from Johor Bahru, it is a very popular destination because of its clean beaches, excellent golf courses and unique attractions.

Pulau Sibu
The large and slender island is close to the Johor mainland and has beautiful caves.

Tanjung Piai National Park
Made up of coastal mangroves and is home to unique mangrove dwellers, providing an environmental sanctuary for people.

Transport Network

Travelling to other areas of Malaysia is easy with a wide network of buses. Transnasional is the biggest bus company with frequent departures and the widest network, so it's a good place to start.

For airports, There is also a bus line to Senai Airport which helps you connect to Air Asia or Firefly.

Besides buses, taxis are widely available.

Educational Institutions

Iskandar Malaysia has a large number of schools which caters everyone's needs.

There are Chinese independent schools, Islamic religious schools and national schools which provide primary and secondary education.
