Tanjung Bungah is a seaside suburb located in the north of Georgetown, Penang. It is a short distance away from the city centre. Tanjung Bungah is also a short distance away yet another popular seaside area Gurney Drive and a short drive to the Tanjung Bungah beach.

Mount Miriam Cancer Hospital, a private hospital for cancer treatments is located between Tanjung Bungah and Tanjung Tokong. Other nearby hospitals include Penang Adventist Hospital, Island Hospital, Gleneagles Penang, and Penang General Hospital. Within the vicinity of Tanjung Bungah are several shopping malls namely Precinct 10, Gurney Plaza, Gurney Paragon Mall, City Junction, Island Plaza, Straits Quay Marina Mall, and Teso Tajung Pinang.
