Embassy Row

Embassy Row is a city that is located in Ampang Hilir, Kuala Lumpur. It is one of the original development in Kuala Lumpur, being a tin mining town in the 50s. However in the modern times being able to live in Embassy Row is considered to be a status symbol as it is where all the ambassadors stay close to the embassies. Embassy Row is also situated near numerous amenities including the prestigious Gleneagles Hospital, Great Eastern Mall, various shops, restaurants, clinics, and the Royal Malaysian Golf Club. Also situated nearby are various international schools. Those who reside here are from all walks of lives with the majority of the populace being Malays, followed by the Chinese. Indians form a small number of the community along with both the expats and the migrants.

It is one of the oldest trunk roads in the city built in the 1880’s to connect Ampang to Kuala Lumpur before it was surpassed by the Ampang-Kuala Lumpur Elevated Highway (AKLEH) in 2001. It is also accessible from Cheras through Jalan Shamelin, from Jalan Tun Razak through Jalan Kampung Pandan via Taman Cempaka, from Kampung Pandan through Jalan Kampung Pandan Dalam via Taman Nirwana, from the Kuala Lumpur Middle Ring Road 2 via Pandan Indah & Taman Kencana and from Hulu Langat town through the mountain pass. LRT Ampang Park will be the nearest station to the area.

Night life in Embassy Row is fairly exciting being close to the city centre, with all forms of entertainment nearby from clubs, pubs, and dance clubs to massage parlors. Some of the pubs are Darlington Pub & Grill, Our Locos Sports Bar & Kitchen, Healy Mac’s, Opus KTV and Shamen Pub & Lounge. Some of the attraction sights are Zoo Negara Malaysia, KLCC Park, Petronas Twin Towers, Bukit Ampang and Taman Tasik Ampang Hilir where residents and tourists can spend their time sightseeing and enjoying the beauty of nature.

Embassy Row is situated in a place which balances connectivity thus making it easy for residents to access an abundance of amenities. For those who love to spend their leisure time shopping or window shopping can always visit the malls located in the vicinity. Some of the malls are Ampang Point which is a large, busy indoor shopping mall with a supermarket and 5 floors of shops & eateries. There is also Great Eastern Mall, Galaxy Ampang Mall, Axis Atrium Shopping Mall which is a 1-stop shopping at an indoor-outdoor mall with diverse stores & eateries, including a supermarket. There are many international and local schools located at Embassy Row namely Sayfol International School, The children’s house Ampang Hilir, SK (1) Kuala Ampang, Brainy Bunch Ampang Point and Sekolah Rendah Kebangsaan Taman Nirwana. Clinics in the vicinity are Klinik Reddy Ampang Point, Klinik Medi’zen, Klinik Anthony, Berkat Ampang Clinic (BAC) and Klinik Platinum Ampang where resident and tourists can go to when they are feeling unwell or in case of any emergencies.
