Batang Melaka

Chemor is a small town located north of Ipoh City of Perak. Nearby Cities are Tanjung Rambutan, Siput River, Salak, Kuala Kangsar and Tasek Ipoh. Around the 70’s, there were many tin ore mines in Chemore. At the same time, Chemor was well-known for its sweet potato plants until the topic of timber production in Chemor was included in the textbook of the local primary school Study. In addition to ore, agriculture such as rubber and vegetables was an important activity for the Chemore people at that time. In the mid-80’s factories were established in Chemor, especially in the Klebang area and the New Khantan Chinese Village.

The old interatate Route 1 connects Chenor with other major town and cities in peninsular Malaysia, for example Alor Setar and Penang to the north and Tapah, Kuala Lumpur, Seremban and even Johor Bahru in the south. There is also another way to travel to places using highways and one of them are by using the North-South Expressway (PLUS). Other than that, there are also trains that can allow you to travel to places. There is also an inter-city bus terminal located at Amanjaya Intergrated Bus Terminal in Bandar Meru Jaya.

Chemor is situated in a where it is close to Ipoh and this makes it a very strategic place as there are many things that you can do in this place. There are theme parks that you and your family can visit during the holiday and spend quality time as well. Some of the theme parks that are there are, The Sunway Lost World of Tambun, this place is listed as one of the biggest theme parks in Malaysia therefore if you travelling here it would be great to make a stop there. Other than that, there is the Movies Animated Park Studios, this theme park is also very fun filling as well.

Chemor is a very beautiful and well-developed place that has a lot to offer to its residents as well as tourists. Since Chemor is pretty modernised, most amenities can be enjoyed in this neighbouring city. There are shops located in this area making it easy for residents and tourists to do their daily shopping for groceries. Some of them Hup Soon Chemor outlet, Pasar Mini Berkat Jasmeen, Pasaraya Borong Sakan and Pasar Mini Ar Khatijah. If you are not a person who cooks or if you don’t have time to cook, there are a few places as well where you can grab food from. Some of them are Restaurant Annapurna, Chemor East Ocean Restaurant, Restoran Wong Kee, New Old Friend Restaurant and Samy Restaurant. Besides having a diverse choice of food, Chemor has many other facilities that is easily accessible for visitors and residents.

There are also many historical places for you to visit during your stay here or if you have moved in but haven’t had a chance to visit, here are some of the places for you to visit. Some of them are Kellia’s Castle, Perak Cave Temple, Tempurung Cave, The Banjaran Hotsprings retreat and Sam Poh Tong. Education wise, Chemor is also pretty well equipped as there quite a number of schools you can choose from to send you kids to and the distance is not that far as well. Some of them are Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Aminuddin Baki, Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan Tamil Klebang, Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan Cina Poi Lam, Sekolah Kebangsaan Haji Mahmud and Sekolah Rendah Islam Al Ummag. In emergency cases, residents and tourist can always visit any of the clinics that are in the area as well as there is a number of clinics provided as well. Some of the clinics are Poliklinik Klinik Dr Azhar & Rakan-rakan,Chemor Health Clinic, Klinik Radha, Clinic Sri Klebang, Klinik Gul and Kilink Chee.
