Mambau is an important town located next to the Linggi River in Negeri Sembilan. Back in the 15th Century, Mambau was useful as it formed part of the main trade route. In the 1800’s Mambau was also an important layover in the tin ore trade route for the train between Seremban and Port Dickson.  Present day Mambau is considered part of the state capital of Seremban. Mambau area includes Mambau old town, Kg Baru Mambau, Rumah Murah Rakyat Mambau, Kg Batu 3, Kg Kayu Ara, Kg Mambau, Taman Kelab Tuanku and Anak Air Garam.  Being a small town, the main mode of transport for getting around is motoecycles rather than the usual cars. as such, there are many small businesses that invo;lves the repairing of motorcycles and selling the parts.  Mambau is situated next to the major town of Senawang, Seremban, and Seremban 2.

Mambau is served by many interconnecting roads and highways. Among them is the Seremban-Port Dickson Highway (SPDH / E29) which starts in Mambau and goes south through Linggi, Bandar Springhill, to end in Si Rusa, Port Dickson. Driving northwards of the North-South Expressway (AH2) will bring you past the town of Labu and Nilai into the state of Selangor, and the industrial area of Dengkil, where the Kuala Lumpur International Airport is located. Driving southwards of Mambau on the North-South Expressway will bring you to the Pedas in the district of Rembau, and onwards through the states of Melaka, Johor and on to Singapore. Jalan Rasah (Route 53) is the vital road used to reach the main town of Seremban.   Additionally, Mambau is a transit point for railways route Seremban-Port Dickson and also one of the earlier railways route in Malaysia.  Tthe Seremban Train Station is only less than 6 km away hence making it very easy to hop on to the train all the way to the KL Sentral Train Interchange in the heart of Kuala Lumpur.

 There are many parks around Mambau, where adults and children can rest and play together. AFor a day out among nature and refreshing greenery, head on to the S2 City Park, Taman Abok Jaya, Taman Orkid Seremban, and S2 Seremban Hill Park.  Or enjoy a lovely picnic lunch with your family or loved ones by the nearby lakes iat Bukit Galena Lake and Green Garden, and Forest Height Lake Park. For golf enthusiasts and planned family time at the clubhouse, there is the nearby d’Tempat Country Club, Paradise Valley Golf Resort.

An interesting place to visit would be the Mambau New Village where a collection of creative and quirky murals has transformed the place into a living gallery.   42 murals of Marge Simpson sprouting a leafy beehive hairdo of 20cm-tall  to an elephant 2.4m-tall that onlookers can “ride” for a photo shot have made the news and attracted tourists from all over.

Families staying in Mambau are indeed blessed to be surrounded by many grocery and supermarkets, many of which are just a short drive away in the neighbouring suburbs.  Tthere are at least 19 supermarkets and small retailers within 10 minutes, including Pasar Mini Yong Cheong, Kedai Kamal, and RJ Family Store.

There are no less than four 7-11 stores that are open for 24 hours. Not only is there a 99 Speedmart in Mambau itself, there are about nine stores in the nearby Seremban area. Econsave store, Mydin, Tesco and Giant hypermarkets are nearby.

There are quite a number of malls available for shopping, dining and entertainment. Malls nearby include AEON Mall Seremban 2, Palm Mall, Seremban Gateway, where one can find more luxury and upmarket shops, restaurants, cafes and entertainment.
