Tambun

Tambun is a small town located in Ipoh. This quaint town got its name from the original settlers, the Orang Asli as they referred to the area as Tambunan and eventually became Tambun. Tambun is known for its scenic views of lush greenery and lime stone mountains, offering a tranquil and quiet environment for those who live there. Other than the usual fast food and coffee chains, many delicious local cuisines are available such as Malay food, Chinese dim sum and hawkers as well as 24 hour mamak stalls. There are also international cuisines found in Tambun such as Japanese food and mainland Chinese cuisines. Pomelos grow well in Tambun because of the fertile dark soil that is suitable for the planting of this fruit.
