Wangsa Maju is a township situated in the north-east of
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, surrounded by Setapak. The village contains parts 1,2,4,5,6 and 10. Wangsa Maju’s economy is mainly industry. Shopping malls, stalls and night-time market sites are open. Although Gombak-Genting Spang Road connects Kuala Lumpur City Center to Genting Sempah via Gombak, the Asian Highway Network is also near Wangsa Maju (MRR2 and Ambassador Highway) (Greenwood Ambassador Road) (Greenwood Ambassador Road) (Greenwood Ambassador Road) (Greenwood Ambassador) – Gombak (DUKE). There are 2 RapidKL LRT Station which is the Wangsa Maju community’s main transportation to Kuala Lumpur City Center, Wangsa Maju LRT Station and Sri Rampai LRT Station. Some of the places that you can go to grab your groceries are in Aeon Plenitude where they offer a nice and large variety of all the best groceries there are. Other supermarkets in Bala Mini Market, Pasaraya M Mart, Brilliant Point, 7 Eleven Wangsa Maju and Bssa Enterprise. These supermarkets are one of the many ones in Desa Setapak. As for education wise, there are also many choices including international schools. Some of them are Desa Setapak Primary School, Sekolah Kebangsaan Wangsa Maju Seksyen 2, Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Setapak Indah, Wangsa Maju Chinese Primary School and Wangsa Maju Seksyen 2 Primary School.
Speaking of shopping Desa Setapak is one of the places you would want to be if you love shopping as Setapak is very close to a variety of shopping malls in Wangsa Maju. Some of them namely are Setapak Central Mall, Wangsa Walk Mall, Aeon Mall Alpha Angle and Molly Fantastic. Here you can do things such as shopping, window shopping and you can even just grab a movie ticket and enjoy a movie in the theatre that are in the malls here.
There are also parks that are in Desa Setapak that can attract people because of the beauty potrayed there. Here you can take beautiful pictures of mother nature as well as spend some quality time or even just to keep healthy. Some of the parks that are here are, Tasik Danau Kota Park, Woodland Park, KLCC Park, Bamboo Park and Taman Tasik Ampang Hilir.
