SS2 is an inner suburb in Petaling Jaya, one of the biggest cities in Malaysia’s most developed state in Selangor. The major point of the town is the prominent commercial centre where every possible type of business can be found from bridal boutiques to durian stalls. SS2 is an extremely prosperous area pulsating with life at all times of the day, from before the sun rises where crowds focus on the neighbourhood market, to the wee hours of the morning where the eateries bulge with the night owls. In terms of accessibility, the enclave is easily accessible from Lebuhraya Damansara-Puchong (LDP), SPRINT Highway and North-Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE). In addition, it is also accessible from Rothmans roundabouts and Jalan Universiti. The district is also home to the Taman Bahagia LRT Station. Rapid KL buses linking this station to residential areas in and around Petaling Jaya pass through the area, along with other bus lines such as the free-to-use Petaling Jaya City Bus and MRT Sungai Buloh-Kajang Line feeder buses from Phileo Damansara MRT station make SS2 a popular and well-travelled transit location.
The property environment in SS2 is flourishing with constant development, consisting mostly of residential terrace houses and condominiums, henceforth creating more amenities in the vicinity. Nature lovers and health enthusiast are privileged to live here as SS2 has a large park and playground right in the heart of the commercial area where residents and tourists can do things like jogging, trekking, cycling and even walking just to enjoy mother-nature. SS2 would not be complete without its nightlife. Club Atmosphere, Uncle Don’s @ SS2, Oenophilia SS2, Club Home & Away SS2 and Road Bar SS2 are worth checking out.

Daily necessities can easily be obtained from mini markets like Wan Xiang Mini Market, KK Super Mart SS2 (SS2), Eysha Mini Market, Pasar Mini Pelangi Mini Market and Soleh Mini Mart. There are many clinics in the vicinity that residents can go to in-case of any medical emergencies, such as Klinik Petaling Jaya, Klinik My Medic, Reborn Healthcare Sdn Bhd, Klinik Alam Medic and Klinik K.W. Wong.
A wide selection of restaurants to whet one’s appetite can be found practically a stone’s throw away from SS2. Among the established restaurants nestled within the enclave are Chow Yan Restaurant, Pelita Nasi Kandar Restaurant, The Cave, Restoran Murni and McDonalds. SS2 has a wide selection of public schools following the national curriculum in both primary and secondary education. Popular private and international schools are also located within easy travelling distance of the area. Few of the schools are SRJK Puay Chai, SRK Taman Sea, SMK Taman Sea, Beaconhouse Sri Inai International School and Prime education Ltd. In addition, there are plenty of banks including Maybank, Alliance Bank, Southern Bank, Affin Bank and RHB Bank. As for places of worship there are a few around, namely Masjid Aminah Al-Muhairi, The Community Baptist Church, Chempaka Buddhist Lodge, Sri Maha Mariamman Temple and Gurdwara Sahib Petaling Jaya Sikh Temple.
