UEM Sunrise Berhad recently announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Arcoris Sdn Bhd has gone into a management agreement with a partner of Hyatt Hotels & Resorts for a Hyatt House inn in Mont’Kiara, Kuala Lumpur.

Anticipated to open in 2017, Hyatt House Kuala Lumpur, Mont’Kiara will be the first Hyatt House hotel in Malaysia.

“We are pleased to go into a management services agreement with Hyatt, and to convey Hyatt’s extended stay experience to Malaysia,” said Anwar Syahrin Abdul Ajib, Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of UEM Sunrise.

The Hyatt House brand is established in broad research and buyer experiences, which showed that extended stay travelers want to feel connected, welcome and at home, and need a hotel that suits this way of life. To exemplify this, Hyatt House hotels offer casual hospitality in an inviting and warm environment that energizes visitors live like residents.

Situated in Mont’Kiara, an affluent suburb found three miles (five kilometers) from focal Kuala Lumpur, the hotel will highlight more or less 298 guestrooms, a three-meal restaurant, 3,100 square feet (290 square meters) of meeting space, a wellness center, and a sky pool.

The hotel will be a piece of a larger mixed use development, Arcoris Mont’Kiara, which will likewise highlight business suites, small home offices (SoHo), residential units, and a retail plaza. Likewise with all Hyatt House hotels around the world, Hyatt House Kuala Lumpur, Mont’Kiara will make visitors feel more like residents amid their stay.

“We are pleased to bring the Hyatt House brand to Kuala Lumpur, and we are honoured to begin our relationship with UEM Sunrise – one of the biggest real estate developers in Malaysia,” said Patrick Finn, VP of real estate and development, Asia Pacific, Hyatt.

“We believe that Hyatt House Kuala Lumpur, Mont’Kiara will have the capacity to pander to a growing extended stay market in the Kuala Lumpur area. We anticipate inviting guest and making them feel at home.”

“Hyatt House Kuala Lumpur, Mont’Kiara finishes the overall implementation plan of our award-winning Arcoris Mont’Kiara development, which is designed by the London-based architectural firm, Foster + Partners.

It is a critical milestone that marks UEM Sunrise’s inaugural venture into the hospitality business as we grow our business portfolio. Hyatt House Kuala Lumpur, Mont’Kiara addresses the needs of businesses and leisure travelers in the prosperous Mont’Kiara enclave and its more extensive environment.”

Hyatt House Kuala Lumpur, Mont’Kiara will be perfect base for business and leisure travelers, in addition to families, that need to keep their real-life schedules moving, even when they are on the road.
