Mass Rapid Transit Corporation Sdn Bhd (MRT Corp) and MMC Gamuda KVMRT Sdn Bhd today marked a project delivery partner (PDP) agreement for the MRT Sungai Buloh-Serdang-Putrajaya Line (SSP Line).
Under the agreement, MMC Gamuda would be in charge of the conveyance of the SSP Line inside of the concurred target cost and target delivery date.
“Four extra key performance indicators (KPIs) like the two in the MRT Sungai Buloh-Kajang Line, were incorporated in the PDP agreement.
“The extra KPIs are compliance with safety, health and environment prerequisites; consistence with concurred quality benchmarks; timely response to open complaints and execution of stakeholder management,” it said.
Meanwhile, MRT Corp said MMC Gamuda would be paid a charge set at six for actual cost of the construction of the SSP Line, gave the above KPIs are met.
“In the event that the KPIs are not met, the charges will be deducted, based on quantum agreed by both sides,” it said.
The 52.2km SSP Line will serve a hallway with a populace of around two million individuals, extending from Sungai Buloh to Putrajaya.
The alignment covers Sri Damansara, Kepong, Batu, Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah, Jalan Tun Razak, KLCC, Tun Razak Exchange, Kuchai Lama, Seri Kembangan and Cyberjaya.
MRT Corp said the public investigation for the proposed alignment of the SSP Line and its stations was on-going and would end on Aug 17.
“Development of the line is relied upon to start in the second quarter of one year from now,” it added.
