Besides upscale residences, affordable homes costing below RM500,000 were also showcased at the Malaysia Property Expo (MAPEX) 2017, which was held at the Mid Valley Exhibition Centre (MVEC) in Kuala Lumpur last weekend (14-16 April).
The event organised by the Real Estate Housing and Developers’ Association (REHDA) had booths for Rumah Selangorku and Rumah Wilayah Persekutuan (RUMAWIP), where guests obtained important information on low-cost residential projects.
For instance, RUMAWIP is developing 12 affordable housing developments around Kuala Lumpur priced between RM198,000 and RM 300,000. These units are open to applicants who presently work or reside in the capital.
Visitors to MAPEX also had the opportunity to learn more about the Rumah Selangorku projects in the state, which include townhouses, apartments and terraced houses priced from RM42,000 to RM250,000.
These units are situated in different areas across Selangor, such as Klang, Sepang, Gombak, Petaling Jaya, Hulu Langat, Hulu Selangor, Kuala Langat and Kuala Selangor.
Similarly, private developers exhibited properties like apartments, one-storey terraced homes and one-and-a-half storey townhouses costing below RM500,000, but most of these are located Bangi, Nilai and Senawang.
In particular, those seeking a house in Klang Valley should check out DIVO @ The Zizz in Damansara Damai, which features three-room serviced apartments costing at least RM337,000. Besides its breath-taking view over the vicinity, the project also comes with a gym and five recreational pools.
A stone’s throw away from the upcoming Damansara Damai MRT station, the apartments along Jalan Kuala Selangor are near the Sg Buloh KTM station, MRR2 Highway, the North-South Highway and the Damansara-Puchong Expressway. They are also within proximity to an Ikea outlet, the Curve, One Utama and several international schools.
Among top affordable homes in Klang Valley are:
The Linq Kinrara Uptown, Seri Kembangan
Rumah Selangorku CyberSouth, Dengkil
