The 20,000 sq ft luxury bungalow of late singer Sharifah Aini has been put up for sale, carrying a tag price of RM8 million.

Located in the heart of Petaling Jaya, the mansion features nine bedrooms, seven bathrooms, five living areas, function hall, library, two kitchens, a large fish pond, a barbecue area and a maid’s room with a walk-in closet.

The master bedroom boasts a hair salon, small living area, pantry and walk-in wardrobe.

The property is conveniently situated near the Taman Jaya LRT, Padang Timur MBPJ and Amcorp Mall.

A man at the house, who wished not to be identified, said Sharifah’s son Aliff Omar Ali is selling the house since it is too large for his family.

“There is no other reason other than it’s too big to be occupied, and it has been handed over to a real estate agent to be sold,” said the source.

Meanwhile, Sharifah’s ex-husband Ali Bakar revealed that he was unaware that the luxury bungalow had been put up for sale. In fact, he had not communicated with the singer prior to her death, while Aliff made no mention of the sale.

“It’s not appropriate for me to provide comments,” he said. “After all, the sale of this house is a personal matter.”

Affectionately known as the National Songstress, Sharifah died in 2014 at age 61 due to lung fibrosis. She was loved for her enduring hits like Seri Dewi Malam and Suasana Hari Raya.
