In FY2019, CUO posted a profit after tax and minority interests of 11.3 billion yuan (RM7.1 billion) and revenue of 264.4 billion yuan (RM164.9 billion).

Thrilled with the collaboration, ARB Executive Director Dato Sri’ Larry Liew Kok Leong is confident that the knowledge-transfer from CUO will enhance ARB’s IT offering solutions and services to its clients.

“Intelligence-driven or smart buildings are designed, constructed, operated and maintained to include both new technology and future iterations,” he said as quoted by NST.

Smart buildings have the capability to share performance data between networked devices, empowering facility managers to continually optimise the building, predictively solve issues as well as use and refine networked systems to achieve a more energy-efficient facilities.

“We understand that CUO is going big in the area of 5G, with the construction of telecommunication towers and buildings. Our collaboration is timely as ASB will contribute via its information technology (IT) offering solutions to the projects,” said Larry.

“We have strong confidence that this augurs well for the prospects of the group.”

He added that the partnership strategically aligns the two companies for the long term “by combining the strength of both entities with dedicated focus and expertise as a leading smart IoT player globally”.
