The contractors who had already carried out preliminary works for the 24 cancelled PR1MA projects will receive compensation amounting to RM42 million from the Ministry of Housing and Local Government (KPKT).
With this, the government had identified 27 sites that would be developed for PR1MA affordable homes outside Kuala Lumpur and Selangor.
“We will be starting (the projects)…we just received approval from the Finance Ministry for eight sites,” said KPKT Minister Zuraida Kamaruddin according to Bernama.

“Later, with the 27 sites we have acquired we will process their locations and land before starting the projects.”
Zuraida made the statement after handing over offer letters for Seni Prihatin Finas People’s Housing Project (PPR).
She noted that the project was coordinated under a National Housing Department system, which includes Syarikat Perumahan Negara Berhad (SPNB) and Malaysia Civil Servants Housing (PPAM).
