The Housing and Local Government Ministry (KPKT), via the PR1MA Corporation Malaysia (PR1MA), has entered into a joint venture with WZ Satu Berhad unit, Sinergi Dayang, to build 763 affordable housing units in Kuantan, Pahang next year.
Comprising double-storey terrace homes, the project will be built in six phases, beginning in July 2022 until December 2026, and will form part of Residensi D’Marina’s Phase Two, according to KPKT Minister Datuk Seri Reezal Merican.
Spanning 1,500 sq ft, the affordable homes under this phase will be offered for sale in January next year, with prices ranging between RM272,700 and RM299,970, he said following the signing of the project agreement between PR1MA CEO Datuk Mohd Nazri Md Shariff and Sinergi Dayang CEO Azlan Shah Mohd Yusoh.
Reezal Merican also revealed that KPKT targets to build more than 500,000 affordable housing units under the 12th Malaysia Plan (12MP).
“This is in line with increasing demand for quality affordable houses, particularly at rapidly developing strategic locations,” he said as quoted by Bernama.
Sinergi Dayang is also the developer of Residensi D’Marina Phase One, which comprises 523 units of single and double-storey terrace homes. The project is slated for completion in January 2023.
