Endau is located in Johor but has the state of Pahang bordering its southern end. It is separated from the latter naturally by the river of Endau or Sungai Endau. It can be reached via the North South Expressway. Most people though, know its name through the park, the Endau – Rompin National Park. The Park is also said to be home to the world’s oldest rainforest and is a certified national park, officially the nation’s second.

Other than its scenic and natural beauty, the town is in itself, rather modest. The park is its main attraction and makes up for the area’s not so dynamic economy. To boost its already present tourist advantage, the area’s beach Pantai Penyabong is also proving to be a success financially, with its many resorts.
