If you prefer something more cultural, there is the impressive Tow Boo Kong Temple that is a fantastic specimen of Chinese architecture. Note that it gets very crowded during certain periods of the year (9th month of the Chinese calendar) due to worship.
Since we’re in Penang, food will definitely come up at some point. Chai Leng Park Hawker Centre offers local fare at night at affordable prices. If the presence of street food is vital to your happiness, this gathering of hawkers is a mere 10 minutes’ drive from Luminari.
Penang Island
With a wealth of options available, travelling to Penang Island from Luminari is as convenient as ever. Prefer the nautical option? Taking a ferry from the terminal translates to a 15 minute ride to Penang Island. Rather drive? You can take the Penang bridges across.

Based on our conversation with the developer, most of the units that have been booked are taken up by people who are living around the area (Butterworth, Penang island etc) – which indicates that most of the future residents and owners of the property are going to be local families from the surrounding Butterworth, Penang area. Investing then renting out to families might be an option you can pursue.
Also taking into consideration the property’s close proximity to key travel hubs such as Penang Sentral, ferry and LRT, this location will have the advantage of ease of travel. On top of that, with plenty of amenities and everyday locations located just a stone’s throw away – Luminari is perfectly suited for small families.
