Battersea Power Station will once again transform into a spectacle of South East Asian heritage, culture and food as the riverside neighbourhood hosts celebrASIA, its flagship, free-to-enter festival between Friday 11th – Sunday 13th September 2026.
Driven by community and cultural exchange, Battersea Power Station is working in partnership with the High Commissions and Embassies of the 11 member countries of ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) to deliver the largest festival of its kind in the UK, returning bigger and better than ever before for its third year.
Demonstrating the phenomenal demand in London to celebrate South East Asian culture, celebrASIA has consistently drawn record numbers to the riverside neighbourhood including over 176,000 visitors in 2025.
The festival takes place both inside and around the iconic Grade II* listed Power Station, which has strong links to the South East Asian region through the development’s Malaysian owners.
New additions for 2026 include expert panel sessions across fashion, food, literature and culture curated by Anna Sulan Masing, cooking classes at Borough Kitchen with Ranie Saidi, comedy sets, extended film screenings and a record number of over 35 food and drink vendors. These join the line-up of live music performances, site-wide decorations, national dress parades, an Artisan Market, and family-friendly activities, which have made celebrASIA one of London’s most popular cultural festivals.
celebrASIA has come to embody the best of Battersea Power Station, sharing culture through creative endeavours, and building cross-community connections that extend far beyond the weekend.
Jan Kae, Founder of Hana Blossom who is trading at the Artisan Market for the third year in a row, comments: “Over the past two years, celebrASIA has been a wonderful anchor for my brand, offering a lively space that genuinely champions heritage and the care that goes into independent, small-batch craftsmanship. It has also transformed my retail approach and boosted our visibility immensely.” Tan Sri Shahril Ridza Ridzuan, Chairman of Battersea Project Holding Company, said: “We are delighted to welcome celebrASIA back to Battersea Power Station for its third year and to be working closely once again with the High Commissioners and Ambassadors from the eleven ASEAN member missions in London to bring the energy, creativity and cultural richness of South East Asia to the heart of London.” James Saunders, CEO at Battersea Power Station Development Company, said: “celebrASIA has become a standout event in Battersea Power Station’s calendar and reflects the cultural exchange and community spirit that has helped shape the riverside neighbourhood’s success. The festival also serves as a window into our cultural ambitions for the future, showing how partnerships, creativity and inclusive programming can bring people together, support small businesses and enrich the destination year-round.” Art & Culture Brand new for 2026 is a series of ticketed expert panels curated by Anna Sulan Masing, which celebrate South East Asia’s global influence across fashion, food, literature and culture.
Panellists include Helena Lee, Features Editor at Harper’s Bazaar, Audrey Khew from the British Fashion Council, writer MiMi Aye and John Chantarasak from AngloThai.
2026 will also see an expanded film series taking place from Monday 7th – Sunday 13th September at The Cinema in the Arches and The Cinema in the Power Station, featuring movies from Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia and Thailand, rarely available to watch in the UK.
Craft masterclasses will return from Friday 11th – Sunday 13th September, encouraging visitors to try their hand at a variety of skills from Bamboo basket weaving to Batik painting and Baybayin script writing. Children can sign up to new craft sessions from textile weaving to making 3D Coral Reefs, while Royal Selangor’s pewter bowl workshops will also return.
Families are invited to ‘check-in’ to the ‘Grand Tour’, a fun interactive trail of South East Asia with colour information boards for each of the ASEAN countries positioned around the Power Station, finishing with a fun quiz and the chance to get your souvenir passport stamped at the ‘Arrivals Desk’.
The popular AI Photobooth also returns, along with the Thai Massage Corner. For 2026 traditional Filipino Hilot practitioners also join the event.
