However, since the money will be held in the client's account, you will need to refer back to what is the term in the letter of offer regarding this. You may engage a solicitor to advise you at this stage if you need more comprehension of the terms in the letter of offer and any communicated agreement from the owner's side. An earnest deposit is not the agency fee and the amount collected have to be instructed by the principal client of the agency in writing and to be placed in the client's account as stakeholders pending the transaction. You may want to request for the written instruction letter as proof or consult your own lawyer for further legal advise on this. Maklumat lanjut
