If you are looking for locations not far from KL, Seri Kembangan, Subang, Puchong and Shah Alam is a good place to start. Setia Alam is too far away. However, your budget may only afford you a single storey house at best in these areas. My advice is to get an apartment that you can enjoy the facilities with at your budget right now. With the added security, you are looking at good value for money. If you are still interested in a 2 storey house, I can recommend looking around at 700k or 750k. On the other hand, I can recommend you a 3 room apartment in Puchong for 400k if you can consider. It is only 25 minutes from KL compared to coming from Shah Alam (30/40 minutes).
