Hi, I would like to ask, currently I am taking up a loan with my brother to purchase a residential property. The loan with bank was approved and it is under my brother and my name. However, the house title is only parked under my brother's name initially. I would like to ask, if I want to add my name to the house title, what is the process needed? And how much do I need to pay for the process to be done. I hope there is someone who can clear my doubts. Thank you.

Hi! You would need to present your application to the land office and it will cost a few thousand RM depending on which state your property is situated. It is worth registering yourself as an owner though. Engaging a solicitor to help you is a good step as the procedure will not be immediate and at times lengthy.
