Hi there, i owned a property ( house ) in malaysia with malaysian citizenship status. but I am going to renounce malaysia citizenship to Singapore citizenship The property bought under my name and mother name. Can i don't make any changes to the ownership name or can i switch to my mother's name and she will indicate a will to my name?

Hi Adrian, I am Ryan from PropNex Malaysia. I want to assist you with your enquires.

May I know the reason that you want to switch ownership? It is ok to own the property even when there is a change of citizenship. Unless you are going to purchase a HDB, you need to declare this property and also if you were to sell this property you would be categorized as a foreigner, so you will need to pay for the RPGT.
