Empire Remix is a large-scale, leasehold integrated development project located in USJ 1, Subang Jaya. Launched in 2012, the project was designed to be a vibrant hub combining residential, commercial, and retail components but has faced significant setbacks, leading to its abandonment. The development's strategic location, however, remains a key highlight, situated within a bustling educational and commercial corridor in Selangor.The ambitious vision for Empire Remix was to create a dynamic mixed-use environment with an estimated gross development value of RM2.3 billion. The project was planned to consist of multiple towers and components, including: Studio and SOHO units in Crystal Tower and Loft Tower. Units specifically for students were planned for the Scholar Tower. The plan included office suites, a large retail mall, and even a hotel. Originally developed by True Renaissance Development Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Mammoth Empire Holdings, construction on Empire Remix was halted after reaching less than 30% completion due to the developer's financial difficulties. This left approximately 2,500 buyers, who had invested around RM500 million, in limbo. Over the years, there have been multiple attempts to revive the project, with HCK Capital Group Bhd being considered as a potential white knight. However, legal challenges, including a High Court decision to set aside a proposed Corporate Voluntary Arrangement (CVA), have stalled the revival process, and the project's future remains uncertain. It is noteworthy that the adjacent Empire Remix 2 project was successfully taken over by HCK, rebranded as Edumetro, and completed. Despite its status, the project's location in USJ 1 offers excellent connectivity and access to numerous amenities. The site is accessible via major highways including the KESAS Highway, Damansara-Puchong Expressway (LDP), Federal Highway, and New Pantai Expressway (NPE). The area is served by public transportation, with the BRT Sunway Line (stations like BRT Monash and BRT SunMed) located nearby, offering connections across Bandar Sunway and Subang Jaya. The development is situated in close proximity to a number of prominent educational institutions, making the location ideal for students.
