I hope you're having a great day :)

I'm a foreigner and would like to get into the short term rentals business in Malaysia. I however am on aTourist Visa (Do not have a working permit).

My questions are:
1) Would it be possible to rent out a property for 6 months and use it for STRs?
2) If I can't do this as an individual, what if I were to setup a company in Malaysia and rent out the property via that company.

First, you have to get the owner agree to do the sublet, if you holding the tourist visa mostly the owner here won't accept it. Second if you set a company should not be problem, but when you do the agreement have to use the company name and your owner must allow you for Short term rental. Maklumat lanjut
