I am moving to Johor and would like to know if I need to pay agent fees if I ask one agent to search renting for me and if I have to pay agent fees in the event i sign I agreement. Or is all fees supported by landlord?

If you engage the agent to find a house for you, then you may need to pay the agent for their services which is usually 1 month's rental provided you agree. If you respond to the advertisement of a particular property advertised by the agent, most likely the agent is retained and paid by the Landlord. Agents are not allowed to collect from both Landlord and Tenant the fee in the same transaction without the consent of both parties.. Maklumat lanjut
