Under the practice, Real Estate Negotiator supposed to collect 2% or maximum of 3% booking fees from the total transact price and this amount is equivalent to their professional service fee (commission) plus 6% GST. Upon signing Sales & Purchase agreement, you are require pay the balance of the 10%. For example 3% paid for booking and balance 7% pay when signing SPA. However, my experience in Penang back then, the practice is different. It is somehow REN will collect from both landlord and purchaser.
