Description
The City of Elmina was master planned based on the principles of wellness and liveability. At 26%
completion to-date, this mega township of 6,500 acres has established itself as a pioneer in building a
sustainable community that embraces biodiversity, community and inclusivity. The 8 Pillars of Wellness
(physical, mental, emotional, family, community, occupational, intellectual and environmental) is the
guiding principle that shapes every planning decision within the township. Developed in line with
international “liveability” standards of the Mercer’s Quality of Living Survey, the City of Elmina
champions wellness through various placemaking initiatives such as its 300-acre Central Park, 90km of
jogging and cycling tracks, a dedicated Rainforest Knowledge Centre that conserves endangered tree
species and the first inclusive playground in Malaysia. At full completion (circa 2040), the City of Elmina
will be home to 36,000 homes and 150,000 residents. It is envisioned to be a self-sustaining township
where residents can enjoy living amidst vast natural greenery with commercial and lifestyle amenities
within easy reach. Easily connected via 4 major expressways (GCE, NKVE, LATAR and DASH), the homes
and commercial properties in the City of Elmina will continue to offer excellent appreciation potential to
homeowners and investors.
