The Maris is a collection of leasehold resort-style homes in Desaru Coast, a premium resort destination in Desaru, Johor. This project is a joint venture between UEM Sunrise Berhad and Themed Attractions Resorts & Hotels Sdn Bhd (TARH), the tourism arm of Khazanah Nasional Bhd. The first phase comprises 66 units of double-storey cluster homes and semi-detached homes, with built-ups ranging from 2,059 sq ft – 2,666 sq ft.

Concept

More than just residential homes, The Maris features resort-style homes in an idyllic vacation setting, within walking distance of the beach. The project is the first residential phase in Desaru Coast – the only Malaysian destination to be recognized as one of The World's 100 Greatest Places of 2021 by Time Magazine. Other components in Desaru Coast include luxury hotels, a water park, and a conference centre. The Maris in particular, is inspired by the name of a rare seashell found in Desaru Coast.

Accessibility and Amenities Near The Maris Desaru Coast

This upcoming project will be conveniently accessible by air, land, and sea. The project is only an hour’s shuttle from Senai International Airport, and well-connected by major highways such as the North-South Highway, Senai-Desaru Expressway, East Coast Expressway, and the Second Link Expressway. The newly-completed Desaru Coast Ferry Terminal – which will serve as a new international entry point – is also a mere five-minute’s drive from the project.

Floor Plan

All cluster homes in The Maris feature a side garden that’s at least 10ft or larger. Type A, A1, and B share a similar layout with one bedroom and bathroom on the ground floor, and on the first floor – a master bedroom with ensuite bathroom, and two bedrooms with a shared bathroom. As an intermediate lot, Type A is the only layout that does not feature a veranda.
