Masai is an area located near Pasir Gudang in Johor Bahru. It is the eldest neighbourhood of Johor Bahru Town. Many pre-war buildings in Masai are still preserved. Just like many town’s in Johor Bahru, Masai is a town that caters for the rural population of farmers and rubber plantation workers. But throughout the years, Masai has gone through vigorous development which has transformed the town into one of the most populous town in Johor. There is a school which is known as Masai Chinese Primary School and it has over 5,000 students. Furthermore, what makes Masai a strategic place is that Bandar Seri Alam is the business centre of Masai. It is also very close to Pasir Gudang
Masai is also a very accessible place via major highways, making travelling easier for those to wish to go to places or even vacations. Places such as Singapore and Johor Bahru can be accessed by using the JB East Coast highway taking of less than an hour to reach that destination. Other neighbouring cities also can be accessed via the Lebuhraya Pasir Gudang and the Lebuhraya Senai-Desaru. Masai is also one of the main departure points for ferries to the nearby offshore islands such as Tioman Island.

Some of them are Qualitas Health, Polyclinic Megah Ria, Klinik Varma, Klinik Raudah Seri Alam and also Koh Clinic and Surgery.
There are also many authentic dishes that are well known which came from this place. All of the dishes are all mainly street food and they can be found at many places in Johor. Therefore, Masai also makes it a very strategic place for tourists. This is place is well suited for those who would like the vibe of being surrounded by nature as there many rubber plantations and as said there are many other types of plantations as well in Masai, making it a nature friendly place.
Masai is also a place that is easily accessible to The Republic of Singapore, therefore it makes it easier for those who live in Masai if they are working in Singapore as it only takes a 30-40 min drive up to Singapore making it a very good place to stay. For those working in Johor Bahru, it is also very convenient if they are to stay in Masai as it only takes an estimated time of 20-25 min to travel to Johor Bahru. There also various job opportunities as they are many well-known companies that have their branch opened in Masai. Some of them are such as Dyson, JC Wealth Management, Tesco, Euro Pacific logistics and Bank’s such as RHB, Public Bank, Maybank, etc.
