Batu Maung

Batu Maung is located in Bayan Lepas on the island of Penang. Located in the southeastern tip of Penang Island, Batu Maung is a residential neighborhood that is close to the Bayan Lepas town as well as the fishing villages of Permatang Damar Laut and Teluk Tempoyak. Batu Maung started out as an agricultural village and developed into a residential neighborhood. In recent years, Batu Maung is a hub for the fisheries industry and has a deepwater fishing port.
