Hi. I have a property with joint name and joint loan. Have yet to receive the title of the property. I found out that the other party has been cheating in term of relationship and in monetary (the person didn't pay for his part of the loan since the beginning). And we broke off the engagement.
After breaking up, the person mentioned to return the money that I have paid, buying my share & service the loan, which I have agreed. Also, the person took the keys to the property from the developer. But he didn't return a single cent and the bank called me to said the loan is not serviced for months and will be sent for auction. I then paid the overdue and contact the person to try and get him to sell his share to me.
However, the person has been avoiding all my calls and messages for the past year. I even asked for a mutual friend to help ask the person to contact me but still the person did not contact me at all. Currently I would like the property to be transferred solely under my name since I have borne all cost from the beginning as it is not fair that I have been paying everything and the person avoiding all consequences and having the name in the property.
p.s. I did ask for agents to help to sell the property as I have no intention of keeping the property but no one wants to as it is under joint name.
Can anyone shed some light or advice in this issue? What can I do to get out of this sticky situation?
