I am a seller of a property. As far as I know, the process of S&P takes 2-3 weeks to complete but in my case it is already 2 months and still not complete as the buyer still not sign and give the deposit to me. I did not go through any agent therefore I did not receive any earnest fee from the buyer. Can I cancel the deal? Kindly advise. Thanks.

Dear Ms. JP, You did not specify what exactly you agreed with the buyer or if any document (agreement to sell) was signed. In a normal S&P process timeslines apply. -Tango Read More

Hi Ms Jp, you need to check with the lawyer why there is a delay on signing the snp. Most likely may be the buyer loan's is not approve or may be the buyer intend to cancelled the deal.
Anyway, i will advise you to call the buyer and told him that you will cancelled the deal if the snp not sign in the next 7 or 14 days(do inform the lawyer) without any prior notice.
