1. Contest and Organiser

(a) ‘#SambungPantunMenangProperty Contest’ (“Contest”) is organised by PropertyGuru International (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. (“Organiser”).
(b) The Organiser reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions, and modify, extend, suspend, withdraw or terminate the Contest at any time at its sole and absolute discretion without prior notice to any person. Failure to comply with these terms and conditions may result in disqualification from the Contest at the Organiser’s sole and absolute discretion.
(c) By participating in the Contest, the Eligible Participants (as defined below) have read and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

2. Eligibility

(a) This Contest is only open to all citizens of Malaysia with valid identification number (NRIC) who reside in Malaysia, aged 18 years and above (“Eligible Participant(s)”).
(b) Eligible Participant shall not be eligible to participate in this Contest if they fall within any of the following:
  • (i) employees of the Organiser (including permanent, contract or contemporary staffs and their immediate family members) and its related companies;
  • (ii) representatives, employees and/or agents of advertising, marketing and promotional service providers of the Organiser and/or its affiliated and related companies, and their immediate family members; and/or
  • (iii) individuals who are or have become mentally unsound, deceased, adjudicated bankrupt or have legal proceedings of any nature instituted against them.​

3. Contest Period

The Contest will run from 21 November 2024 at 10AM MYT to 31 December 2024 at 11:59PM MYT (both dates inclusive). All entries must be submitted by 31 December 2024, 11:59PM MYT. This Contest is hosted on TikTok.

4. How to Participate and Selection Process

(a) Steps:
  • Step 1: The Organiser will release the first 2 lines of a pantun ("The Pantun Prompt") and such Prompt is at the Organiser’s discretion.
  • Step 2: The Eligible Participants must compose an 8-line pantun starting with the Pantun Prompt that the Organiser has provided. "Pantun Prompt" herein means the first 2 lines of the pantun provided by the Organiser.
  • Step 3: The Eligible Participants must video record themselves reciting their 8-line pantun.
  • Step 4: The Eligible Participants must upload their video onto their TikTok Profile. The Eligible Participants’ profile must be public during the duration of the Contest.
  • Step 5: When uploading their videos onto TikTok, the Eligible Participants must include the hashtag provided by the Organiser and tag the Organiser.
  • Step 6: The Eligible Participants’ videos will be judged by the Organiser. A winner of the Contest ("Winner") will be selected by the Organiser from these videos at the Organiser’s absolute discretion. The Organiser’s decision will be final and binding on all Eligible Participants.
(b) Each Eligible Participant is allowed multiple entries.
(c) The pantuns submitted must be original, creative, and follow the required format (8 lines per submission).
(d) By participating in this Contest, the Eligible Participant –
  • (i) understands and agrees that his/her entries submitted in this Contest will be viewed by people globally;
  • (ii) represents and warrants that the pantun submitted is an original creation of the Eligible Participant and does not infringe upon the rights of any third party (including but not limited to copyright, trademarks, moral rights, rights of privacy / publicity or intellectual property rights of any person or entity), and they have full rights to submit his/her pantun for the Organiser consideration; and
  • (iii) consents to irrevocably assign and transfer to the Organiser any and all rights, title and interest in the entries and to use, copy, commercialise and adapt for any purpose related to the Organiser’s business (including, without limitation, library and promotional) any content or material contained in such entries without compensation, permission or notification to entrant or any third party.
(e) Entries that are lewd, obscene, sexually, explicit, pornographic, disparaging, discriminatory, defamatory, libellous, illegal, offensive, or otherwise contain inappropriate content or objectionable material should not be submitted, and the Organiser reserves the right to remove or demand the Eligible Participant to remove such entry at any time in the Organiser’s sole discretion. Submissions that are deemed not to be original or are deemed to be inappropriate for publication will be ineligible. For the avoidance of doubt, the Organiser reserves the right to disqualify any entry that is not in compliance with these terms and conditions.

5. Announcement of Winner

(a) The Winner will be notified by the Organiser via direct message on TikTok no later than 31st January, 2025 or such other date as decided by the Organiser at its absolute discretion, to present in person at the venue designated by the Organiser to collect/claim the Prize.
(b) In the event the Winner cannot be contacted for whatever reason after at least three (3) attempts and/or days, the Prize will be forfeited and, at the Organiser’s sole discretion, awarded to an alternate.

6. Prizes

(a) Subject to these terms and conditions, the Winner will win ONE (1) condominium unit in Selangor ("Prize") in this Contest.
(b) The Prize will only be registered in the name of the Winner and the Organiser is not obliged to register the Prize in the name of any other person.
(c) All the specifications of the Prize are fixed. The Prize is non-transferrable to any other party and not exchangeable for cash, credit or other goods, whether in part or in full.
(d) The Prize must be claimed in person with the Winner’s original NRIC.
(e) Notwithstanding, the Organiser reserves the right to change or substitute the Prize with any product of similar value and characteristics with prior notice to the Eligible Participant.
(f) In the event, for any reason, whatsoever, the Winner is unable to collect/claim the Prize within the time period specified by the Organiser (“Collection Period”), the Prize shall be forfeited and the Organiser shall not reimburse or compensate the Winner. The Organiser shall not be obliged to extend the Collection Period.
(g) In the event that the Winner chooses not to accept the Prize, he/she forfeits any and all claim to the Prize, which will be dealt with at the absolute discretion of the Organiser.
(h) The transfer of the Prize to the Winner is subject to applicable laws and regulations, as well as the approvals and consents from the relevant government authorities.

7. Other Terms & Conditions

(a) The Eligible Participants hereby acknowledge and agree that the Organiser excludes all warranties and/or liability in connection with the awarded Prize and/or the Contest. The Eligible Participant shall assume full liability and responsibility in case of any liability, mishap, injury, loss, damage, claim or accident (including personal injury and/or death) resulting from their participation in the Contest, redemption and/or usage of the Prize. The Organiser shall not be held responsible for any liability, mishap, loss, damage, claim or accident (including personal injury and/or death) in any manner whatsoever suffered by the Eligible Participant as a result of the participation in the Contest and/or the acceptance or use of the Prize.
(b) All costs, fees and/or expenses incurred or to be incurred by the Eligible Participants in relation to the Contest and/or to claim the Prize are the sole responsibility of the Eligible Participant.
(c) The Winner must abide by all laws and regulations currently in place and the terms and conditions of the party(ies) arranging and/or providing the Prize and the terms and conditions attached to the Prize, if any.
(d) Save for the stamp duty imposed on the memorandum of transfer for the Prize, the Winner shall be wholly responsible for the payment of all duties and taxes, insurance and/or other miscellaneous charges relating to the Prize or otherwise arising as a result of the Eligible Participant accepting the Prize. The Winner is advised to seek professional advice regarding tax and legal implications of accepting the Prize.
(e) By participating in this Contest, the Eligible Participants expressly and irrevocably agree that the Organiser reserves the right to publish and/or use his/her name, photograph/s, voices, videos and/or appearances ("Materials") as the Organiser deems fit for the purposes of advertising and/or trade publicity without prior notice. The Winner hereby agrees that he/she shall not be entitled to claim ownership or copyright or other forms of compensation relating to the Materials.
(f) The Organiser’s decision on all matters relating to the Contest (including the interpretation of these terms and conditions) shall be final and binding and no further correspondence or attempt to dispute such decision shall be entertained.
(g) These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia and the Eligible Participant agrees to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia. If any provisions of these terms and conditions are held by a court of competent jurisdiction to be void or unenforceable, the remainder of these terms and conditions will remain in full force and effect.
(h) By participating in this Contest, the Eligible Participants consent to the Organiser use of their personal information in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Contest and agree to the Organiser’s Privacy Policy, available at https://www.propertyguru.com.my/privacy.
