Bukit Jelutong

Bukit Jelutong is an upmarket residential neighbourhood in the suburb of Shah Alam, Selangor.  It was developed by Guthrie Property Holding Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Sime Darby  on a former rubber estate. Bukit Jelutong comprises mainly low-density land properties as well as luxury hi-rise residential buildings surrounded by ample parks and open spaces.

Bukit Jelutong is easy accessible as it is well-connected by numerous highway such as NKVE, the Guthrie Corridor Expressway (GCE), Federal Highway, and North South Expressway Central Link (ELITE). The nearest railway stations are the KTM Shah Alam and KTM Batu Tiga stations. There are also buses and taxis that serve the area.

As a residential neighbourhood, there are a host of amenities and facilities available such as schools, sundry shops, eateries etc, within Bukit Jelutong for the community’s convenience which include a small commercial centre. This way residents will not have to travel too far.

To serve the educational needs of the community, there are several schools in the neighbourhood like SMK Bukit Jelutong, Sekolah Rendah Agama Bukit Jelutong, Sekolah Kebangsaan Bukit Jelutong, Greenview Islamic International School and The Olive Trees (tOts).

There are also several supermarkets within Bukit Jelutong such as Mydin Bukit Jelutong, Jaya Grocer@Plaza Jelutong and  Hero Market  while there is Tesco Extra Shah Alam, a short drive away. Meanwhile, Plaza Jelutong is the neighbourhood’s shopping mall where a myriad of retail outlets, eateries, entertainment and services can be found.

Within the neighborhood is also the Bukit Jelutong Industrial Park, a low-density industry park housing hi-tech industries, logistics and warehousing facilities and many of its tenants are multi-national companies such as Scania and Schenker Logistics Malaysia.

Bukit Jelutong was conceptualized with lots of open spaces and greenery, so it is surrounded by pockets of parks and open spaces for the community’s recreational activities. Among them are Bukit Jelutong Eco Community Park, Fitspace 66, Fighters Den Malaysia, Kubah Futsal Court and Panahub. Since it is a residential neighbourhood, there are also several playgrounds where kids can play within close distance. Bukit Jelutong is surrounded by notable golf courses such as Bukit Jelutong Golf Centre, Kelab Golf Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah, Glenmarie Golf & Country Club, Saujana Golf & Country Club, Guthrie Golf Academy Pitt & Putt Course and Monterez Golf & Country Club.

In Bukit Jelutong, looking for food is easy as the neighbourhood is filled with many eateries offering a choice of international cuisine such as the Bukit Jelutong Golf Centre Foodspot, Ehsan’s@Bukit Jelutong, Lam’s Kitchen@Bukit Jelutong, Ombak Kitchen Bukit Jelutong, One Serambi Café and Kayu Manis Seafood. Of course, there are other eateries in the neighbourhood that is waiting to be discovered.
