Putra Heights, is a residential township located in Subang Jaya, Selangor that was first unveiled to the world in 1999 by one of the country’s leading developer, Sime Darby. The township is visible by the tall and famous Bukit Cermin in Putra Heights which has earned its reputation as one of the most famous cycling hills in the Klang Valley. The sign on Bukit Cermin hill saying “Putra Heights” stands tall and proud, reminiscent of the Hollywood sign of Los Angeles. Built upon 1,796 acres of land, Putra Heights is a township of homes that cater to all walks of lives.
Although deemed to be located in a rather secluded location, Putra Heights is only a short drive to Subang Jaya and popular shopping malls like Main Place at USJ 21 and One City. Putra heights is accessible via many major expressways and roads. The expressway that passes directly through the township is North-South Expressway Central Link (ELITE). Other major expressways which connects through the ELITE expressway are the New Klang vallay Expressway (NKVE), Damansara-Puchong Expressway (LDP), SKVE and Shah Alam Expressway (KESAS). Residents can also use the LRT which now connects to the township. The Putra heights LRT Station on Rapid KL’s Kelana Jaya Line and Sri Petaling Line is located T Persiaran Putra Indah near Putra Point Commercial centre. Due to its positioning, residents of Putra Heights can easily access the amenities and facilities that the surrounding areas provide.
Putra Heights is a beautiful well developed neighborhood that is still relatively calm and quiet and gives the illusion of being secluded from the world. It has a lot to offer to its residents and also tourists, amenities wise, like shopping malls, restaurants, schools, banks, worship places and clinics. Putra Heights is home to a number of local public schools following the national curriculum in both primary and secondary education. Popular private and international schools are also located within easy travelling distance of the area. Some of the schools are SRJK (C) Tun Tan Siew Sin, Sekolah Kebangsaan Putra Heights 2, Kingsley International School, Leo International and Fairview International School Subang Jaya Campus. There are also ATM’s, banks and post offices located nearby for the convenience of the residents, like Hong Leong Bank, Bank Islam Malaysia, ATM RHB Giant Hypermarket Putra Heights, Maybank, Bank Rakyat USJ Subang Jaya and Pejabat Pos Mini Putra Height. There are also many places of worship in the area. The places of worship are Faith City Church (Putra Heights), Surau BaiturRahman Putra Heights, Vadakara Bathra Kaliamman Temple Putra Heights, Gurdwara Sahib Putra Heights and Thean Hou Temple. For those who enjoy nightlife, Palms Sports Bar & Grill, Bar One, Main Harbour Kitchen + Bar, Q-bar and Pink Lady Pub are places that are worth checking out.
