Shah Alam started out as Sungai Renggam and was known for its rubber and oil palm plantations. It is now the Selangor state capital. Completed in 1988, this mosque can hold up to 24,000 worshippers at one time. The Blue Mosque overlooks the Garden of Islamic Arts which features paintings, sculptures, calligraphy and architecture.
