Iskandar Puteri is a well built development in Johor, and the focus point of new developments. Located on the southern tip of Malaysia, Iskandar is home to entertainment, medical centres, and new housing developments.
Situated in Iskandar Puteri are many catalysts of Iskandar Malaysia. The international crowd high income crowd puller is Pinewood Studios, where international films, TV series and video games are recorded. The studio is expected to attract more filmmakers in the future, due to Malaysia’s weak currency and cheap labour.
Situated close to Pinewood Studios is Puteri Harbour – the Jewel of Iskandar Puteri. This waterfront address is said to be the preferred housing for crew members, actors and actresses of all the ongoing films due to its prestige. With its marina behind the homes, Puteri Harbour has also been the proud recipient of the 5 Gold Anchor Award by The Yacht Harbour Association (TYHA), United Kingdom in February 2014 – the first marina in Malaysia to be recognised for this title.

Other attractions in Iskandar Puteri aside from Pinewood Studios is also the first Sanrio Hello Kitty Town outside of Japan. This family attraction provides a Hello Kitty interactive experience for family members, with characters such as Hello Kitty, Daniel, Thomas, Barney, Bob the Builder and Angeline Ballerina.
Located conveniently close to Sanrio Hello Kitty Town at approximately 10 minutes away is the other family attraction, Legoland. While it is only one of the many Legolands in the world, it is however the first in the world to host the largest Legoland Water Park. This makes the park popular not just with children, but also with Lego fans.
Situated approximately 20 kilometres away from Legoland Malaysia is yet another popular theme park amount family members – the Angry Birds Activity Park. Less of a theme park and more of an activity park, the entertainment offered here differs from Sanrio Hello Kitty Town and Legoland Malaysia. Over here, family members get to enjoy jumping on trampolines, scooters, parkour tracks and foam pits among others.
Food hunting is also an easy chore at Iskandar Puteri, with a variety of restaurant establishments. Some of the more popular ones located at Persiaran Puteri Selatan, a main road leading into Puteri Harbour, are Spice Grill, Olive, Ajisan Ramen, and Nusa Khao.
Situated approximately 20 kilometres away from the JB city centre is also Kilang Bateri, a new hipster-like eatery place with a vintage theme. Once an Eveready Battery Factory, it is said to be a popular hangout spot with great food.
For more food, there are the numerous shopping malls within short drives in Iskandar Puteri where main fashion brands can be found along with other entertainment facilities such as cinemas, electrical shops and karaokes.
Located within a 1-kilometre radius of Legoland Malaysia is the Gleneagles Hospital for medical emergencies, and a short 5-kilometre drive away is the Columbia Asia Hospital. The Senai International Airport is only a short 30km drive away which usually takes less than 30 minutes under clear traffic conditions, and the Changi International Airport approximately an hour away.
