Kajang is the district capital of Hulu Langat, located half an hour away from the modern metropolis of Kuala Lumpur. It started as a small and humble old city that was subjected to multiple transformations over the years and as a result, Kajang had turned into one of the most populated cities in Malaysia with a population of approximately 800,000.

The transformations include several modern townships, transportation systems and network of convenient highways. Now, the city of Kajang is the ultimate location reputed for its broad array of lifestyles from the hustle and bustle of city life to the calm and serene life in a small township.

North

The northern part of Kajang is where Bandar Sungai Long is situated in. Bandar Sungai Long is a well planned and matured township with 10,000 residents living in refined houses that reflects the great natural beauty around them. The main township was created with leisure living in mind for the country clubbers, as well as affordability to accommodate the Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) students from the Sungai Long campus.

Located directly under Bandar Sungai Long, within a 3km distance, is a mature township of Saujana Impian. This township is made to be self-sustainable and self-containable with its own amenities and facilities including hypermarkets, schools and even a golf course. Due to this nature, Saujana Impian provides luxurious living for the upper middle class.

West

Offering that same luxurious living at the western side of Kajang is Jade Hills, an elegant and upscale gated residential development. It comes complete with all kinds of facilities and amenities within, including its own international school – Eaton International School. This township is nestled in lush greenery and surrounded by lakes. It was made safe and secured for a nice tight-knit community.

Alternatively, 2km away to the west is another popular township of Country Heights. Country Heights is a former rubber plantation estate turned into the ‘Beverly Hills of Malaysia’. This gated community allows for a peaceful and relaxing lifestyle for those who prefer seclusion from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Centre

On the opposite side, TTDI Grove also presents finer living to its residents. It is dubbed as ‘The Trendsetting Township in Kajang’ owing to the picturesque environment from the lush abundance of nature and pocket parks. Though it is located near the infamous Kajang Prison, TTDI Grove is a safe environment to live in as it is well guarded and secured.

In contrast, 10 minutes away from TTDI Grove is Kajang Town, the very heart of Kajang city. Kajang Town is the house of Kajang’s prominent landmarks like the Kajang stadium, while sporting many important facilities such as the Kajang Hospital and Metro Point. The town is strategically surrounded by multiple simple and affordable housing areas.

One of the adjacent towns surrounding Kajang Town is Sungai Chua, famous for its spicy soup. Sungai Chua is a mixed developing town with Pusat Perindustrian Sungai Chua nestled within the core of the town. The properties in this town comprise mainly of double storey shop-offices and a couple units of factories.

East

On the eastern district of Kajang lies a similar town of mixed developments, Taman Bukit Mewah. Not to be confused with another town with the same name in Cheras, this popular town is made up of old housing areas. Thus, purchasing a house in Taman Bukit Mewah would translate to having a furnished home. Having said that, there are new residential properties built in recent years in Taman Bukit Mewah like Bukit Mewah 9.

Further to the east is Taman Jasmin, a small town with an upscale mixed development. This town is very popular as the properties were made to be affordable with perfectly reasonable prices. Furthermore, its popularity skyrocketed to the point of full occupancy, due to Taman Jasmin’s strategic location in a well established area. The only drawback to this place is that it can get congested during peak hours.

Neighbouring Taman Jasmin is Taman Kajang Prima, a mix of residential as well as commercial developments in Kajang. It is designed specifically for family living, making this town the ideal place for raising a household. Moreover, the town is highly convenient as it is located in a well established area with a variety of amenities in the vicinity. Taman Kajang Prima is made safe by its occupants through community patrolling. The only concern is that some of the units facing the highway will experience noise and air pollution.

Over 2km of distance from Taman Kajang Prima is Kajang 2, located on the southern part bordering the city of Semenyih. This township is newly integrated with Kajang, offering multiple appealing facilities including a recreational park and a nearby beautiful pond. Kajang 2 provides a very safe and harmonious lifestyle for its residents.

Semenyih

In the Southern part bordering the city of Semenyih is Kajang 2. Kajang 2 is considered to be a new township that offers facilities like the recreational park with beautiful ponds providing the residents healthy harmonious living. Kajang 2 is a well guarded place with 24-hour security and surveillance – ensuring a safe environment for its residence.

In the Kajang-Semenyih district lies a recently completed township, Kajang East. Kajang East is similar to Kajang 2, as the residential area is surrounded by nature’s beauty. The tip-top houses were also designed with award-winning architecture for a luxurious living experience, with many key facilities in the vicinity. Gated and guarded well, Kajang East is the dream place for a family-friendly and laid back environment.

Without a doubt, Kajang is a hub for a diverse array of lifestyles. With phenomenal growth looming over the city, Kajang will soon emerge as the modern metropolis of the Hulu Langat district.
