With an avalanche of new developments saturating the Klang Valley, developers are moving away from the city in search of greener land to fulfil buyers’ desires of a greener home. Moving outward toward the suburbs of Kajang and Semenyih, developments are rampant as homes surrounded by lush greenery are being highly demanded. Neighbouring each and the other, Semenyih and Kajang are hence the new property hot spots in what is increasingly being coined as the Southern Gateway of the Klang Valley.
While Kajang was previously already widely known as the town to visit for amazing satay, Semenyih was relatively unrecognised. Its name, which translates via word-of-mouth stories to “hidden”, is in fact an appropriate name for this town as Semenyih was a hidden gem that only recently became popular among KL-lites. Semenyih is a small town that is famous for its scenic waterfalls and lush hills, and most importantly its water catchment that provides water to Kuala Lumpur and many other parts of the Klang Valley.
While originally a laid-back and serene town, 2017 however sees Semenyih modernising along with the neighbouring Kajang. Lifestyle amenities are making their way to this town now, along with increased connectivity.
Within Kajang is the Plaza Metro shopping mall, and the upcoming De Centrum Mall is being very highly anticipated as it will be the first of its kind of hoping mall in Semenyih. There is also the Tesco hypermarket in Semenyih.
And while public transportation was previously limited to only local and intercity public busses within Semenyih in the past, residents will be able to enjoy railway public transportation in the near future. As part of the Greater KL project, the new and upcoming MRT tracks are going to be built in the neighbouring Kajang as the town is part of the National Key Economic Areas (NKEA) and the Government Transformation Programme (GTP) systems.
In lieu of the increased connectivity and many incoming lifestyle amenities, new developments are hence making their way to Semenyih and Kajang. Among some of the most well received ones include developments such as OnePark by iWajib.
OnePark is a very unique development located on the borders of Kajang and Semenyih, which touts a tagline of “The Place Where Homeowners Own a Park”. Taking full advantage of the lush environment, the houses at OnePark will literally be surrounded by a wide array of various themed parks within a gated a guarded community.
Every effort is taken to preserve the nature surrounding OnePark during its development, enabling the entire development to have a unique eco-system which involves the natural forests, plant life, animals and insects – where the residents will have their own space within the ecosystem.
One of the biggest selling points of OnePark would be its serene environment seemingly set apart from the world, but at the same time is still conveniently close to the various highways and the upcoming MRT railways.
Currently priced at very affordable prices, these nature-based homes in Semenyih and Kajang are very highly sought after by both families and long term property investors.
