Skudai

Skudai is a popular suburb of Iskandar Puteri, strategically located by the Straits of Johor, and part of Johor’s rapidly developing new growth corridor.

Like other suburbs and townships in the area, Skudai is benefiting from substantial growth and development as the emerging Johor property market continues to develop. While largely a mature neighbourhood, on-going construction and expansion in and around the suburb continues to add new properties and amenities to the area.

Skudai benefits from excellent connectivity by road, with a strategic location on major highways to the west of Johor Bahru. Jalan Bertingkat Skudai is a major link for residents of the area, and forms part of Malaysia’s Federal Route 1. This busy road connects to the Skudai-Pontian Highway, providing onward travel to destinations throughout the west coast of Peninsular Malaysia along Federal Route 5. Skudai also boasts excellent connectivity to nearby Singapore, with connections to both the Woodlands Checkpoint via downtown Johor Bahru, as well as via the Second Link Expressway to the less congested Malaysia-Singapore Second Link crossing. Public transport in the area is serviced by a limited number of competing local bus services, as is found throughout the wider Johor Bahru metropolitan area.
