In the Epicentre of Connectivity

Hartamas is the coveted upscale housing development that neighbours Mont Kiara, surrounded by easy accessibility and lifestyle amenities. Situated within the federal territory of Kuala Lumpur, Hartamas is located only 20 minutes away from the Kuala Lumpur City Centre, and with its central location, Petaling Jaya is equally as near at a 20-minute drive away.

And with the number of highways surrounding Hartamas, even getting to other suburbs such as Bangsar and Subang Jaya is as convenient which the former is about 15 minutes away and the latter at approximately 25 minutes.

Having said that, the highways which residents of Hartamas are within few kilometres of are the SPRINT Highway, Middle Ring Road 2 (MRR2), New Pantai Expressway (NPE) and even the Federal Highway.

The SPRINT highway which is actually the main network of expressway in the Klang Valley is divided into three sections – the Damansara Link, Penchala Link and the Kerinchi Link. With this road alone, motorists are able to get to the New Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE) which goes toward Kota Damansara, Klang and the other further suburbs.

Closer to home, the NPE provides access for residents of Kuala Lumpur to Subang Jaya and Bandar Sunway. This heavily travelled highway provides an alternative route to motorists who wish to skip travelling on the Federal Highway which is usually congested during peak hours.

The MRR2 which runs all the way from Bandar Sri Damansara on the northern end to Sri Petaling on the Southeast end has several main turn-offs, which makes it another one of the most heavily travelled expressways in the Klang Valley. Via the MRR2, motorists are able to get to the Amping-Kuala Lumpur Elevated Highway (AKLEH), Jalan Ampang, the Besraya Expressway, Shah Alam Expressway (KESAS) and Duta-Ulu Kelang highway, and Damansara-Puchong Highway (LDP) among others.

Aside from the highways surrounding Hartamas, residents of this ultra-central suburb also enjoys access to many main trunk roads. Of the closest one to home is Jalan Ipoh and Jalan Kuching – both of which are less than 15 minutes away under clear traffic conditions. These roads also serve as access points to the city centre for a toll-free route. For those who are heading toward Bangsar, there is the Jalan Bangsar that connects to Jalan Syed Putra and the Mid Valley Ring Road.

While well connected via a multitude of highways and trunk roads, Sri Hartamas doesn’t however have any significant form of public transportation. There are neither KTM nor LRT trains in Hartamas, and the busses that frequent this neighbourhood are far and few between.

It is however rumoured that the upcoming LRT and MRT train tracks will pass through Sri Hartamas, within the localities of Mont Kiara, Dutamas or Sri Hartamas. The plans are however unconfirmed as of the time of writing, although property developers are already touting the possibility of railway public transportation in the neighbourhood in future.

However as of the moment before the railways in Sri Hartamas come into fruition, it is advisable for residents to have their own private vehicle.
