Sri Hartamas is a highly coveted upper class suburb located just next to the equally as desirable neighbourhood of Mont Kiara. This is a neighbourhood that was built for and targeted towards expatriates, with expat-oriented shopping malls, as well as amenities. The local schools that can be found in Sri Hartamas are limited, but are however said to be of higher standards than the norm. There are only the SK Sri Hartamas for Grades 1 to 6 and SMK Sri Hartamas for Grades 7 onwards in terms of local schools, both located around the Desa Sri Hartamas area.
With the convenience of easy accessibility to all the various suburbs, residents of Sri Hartamas will also find it very easy to get to the many other international schools located within Kuala Lumpur. Minutes away in Kuala Lumpur are the Alice Smith Primary School, Cempaka International School, ELC International School, Maz International School, Sayfol International School, Sri Utama International School and Fairview International School, all of which offer the British curriculum.
International schools that offer the American curriculum are more limited, with there being only the International School of KL (ISKL) for elementary, middle, and high school.
