Concept of the Scheme

The primary goal of the RMMJ initiative is to provide comfortable, family-friendly homes. A standard offering across many projects under this scheme includes a layout with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The initiative encompasses several distinct programmes, including Rumah Mampu Biayai Johor (RMBJ), Bumiputera Lots, and the People's Housing Program (PPR), each with specific criteria to cater to different segments of the population.

Eligibility and Application

To qualify for the RMMJ scheme, applicants must meet several key criteria:

• Must be a Malaysian citizen aged 18 years or older.
• Must have resided in Johor for at least 5 to 10 years.
• Household income must not exceed the specified limits for each housing category (e.g., RMB A: RM4,000, RMB B: RM6,000, etc.).
• Both single and married individuals are eligible to apply, with a limit of one application per couple.

These homes are developed by various property developers in collaboration with the state government.
