Damansara is a suburb in Petaling Jaya, a Mukim in Petaling District, as well as a parliamentary constituency in Selangor. Selangor is one of the 13 states in Malaysia located on the west coast of Peninsular Malaysia. The Straits of Melaka is to its west while it is bordered by Perak, Pahang and Negeri Sembilan. It is one of the most densely populated areas in Malaysia. Damansara was originally a small harbour-like settlement that was located near the mouth of the Damansara River along the Klang River.

One of the biggest advantages for families is the schools that are located nearby, like Asia Pacific Schools, Sri Kuala Lumpur, Sunway International School, Sri KDU Schools and SMK Damansara Utama which are easily accessible to the residents in the neighbourhood. The nightlife is also blooming in this affluent and trendy neighbourhood with clubs like DK Club Kota Damansara, HYDE at 53M, Three Stooges Bar, Tom, Dick & Harry’s, Oasis Square and Kisses Pub & Bistro all located just within a few minutes’ drive. In-case of medical emergency, Ara Damansara Mediviron Clinic (Dr Patrick), The Clinic @ Ara Damansara, Klinik Ng & Ho, Klinik Alam Medic and Klinik Mediviron Pacific Place 24 Jam (24 hours Clinic) are all located close by. There are many places of worship in the surrounding area for the convenience of those living around the area. They are Kingdomcity Kuala Lumpur Bandar Sunway, TTDI Jaya Darbar Sahib, Surau Temasya, Sri Maha Mariamman Temple and Yuen Leong Sing Fatt Temple.
