Hulu Kelang (Hulu Klang/Ulu Kelang/Ulu Klang) is located specifically in Ampang, the area of the state that has certain areas in Kuala Lumpur and some in Selangor. The town is known mostly for its highway, DUKE or the Duta – Ulu Klang Expressway. This highway is one of the most major roads of Kuala Lumpur and Selangor and links to important areas like the KL city centre and other routes like the MRR2 and the NKVE. The area is relatively modest on its own but considering that it bleeds into surrounding areas, it therefore shares infrastructure, one such example is its Giant Hypermarket.
It technically is a part of KL but is named after the area. Another would be the Zoo Negara, which sometimes is considered to be Ulu Klang’s and at times, KL’s. Again, it is a testament to Ampang’s duality and thus commercial and residential value. Ulu Klang itself does have an Animal Medical Centre to its name to the relief of all pet owners.
