PropertyGuru unveils new brand identity for Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR, 15th May 2012 - PropertyGuru Group, Asia's leading property portal, today announced that its existing Malaysian property sites, HomeGuru.com.my and Fullhouse.com.my, will be consolidated and officially rebranded as PropertyGuru.com.my.

The consolidation of the websites publicly articulates the Group's pledge in easing the property buying, investment and rental process for consumers. Under PropertyGuru.com.my, property seekers enticed by Malaysian properties will now only need to visit one website to enjoy greater ease in choosing from a wider variety of properties available for sale or rent.

On a macro level, the focus on a single identity underPropertyGuru.com.my will bring about more effective branding for the property group in Malaysia by tapping into the popularity of the PropertyGuru brand name under the Singapore network on PropertyGuru.com.sg, Singapore's leading property portal and the flagship website of PropertyGuru's network, where Malaysians currently form the largest group of foreign property buyers. This ensures overall consistency and assures users across both markets that they will get the same quality experience for property search under the newly rebranded portal. "With the rebranding to PropertyGuru in Malaysia, we are consolidating our resources to ensure we deliver maximum value and leverage on our strength in Singapore to grow regionally," mentioned Steve Melhuish, Group CEO of PropertyGuru Group.

This exercise brings further added convenience for advertisers, real estate agents and developers alike, to expand their exposure while allowing them greater control to manage their campaigns on one platform. "Via the change and alignment with our regional presence, we can now give our clients easier access and regional reach through the PropertyGuru network. We will also leverage on regional marketing efforts, driving traffic to PropertyGuru.com.my; giving advertisers the opportunity for wider exposure. Visitors to our site will also enjoy a wider variety of legitimate properties available for sale or rent. In conjunction with the rebranding exercise, PropertyGuru Group will continue to invest heavily to the tune of over RM5 million on advertising and publicity to build its brand presence in Malaysia.
