A property is jointly own by my parent 50/50 and my father passed away last year without leaving a will. The question is, will the property ownership automatically transfer to my mother 100%? Or she need to apply for the transfer?
Besides, can we transfer the 50% property ownership to other family member instead?
We are non muslim.

follow the distribution act if there is no will. it will distribute to your father parent, his spouse and his issue/childen on the 50% portion.     What is the property is co owned by son and mother and the mother passed away (has 5 children including the co owner) and then there is death of one of the child(has children) and then the co owner passes away without spouse/kids( bachelor)
