"Membership of a Management Committee
Who can/can not be a member?

Anyone can be elected to join the management committee if:

they are 21 years old and above;
Owns a parcel on the property or if their immediate family owns two parcels on the property; and

Is nominated by the immediate family and/ or is elected by another owner to be a member of the management committee[."

Well I am enquiring on my uncle behalf.

He has already transferred his units to his wife and daughter. One unit each at the same apartment block in jb. But he is still very much active in the community, so i read this following online :-


"Owns a parcel on the property or if their immediate family owns two parcels on the property; and"

So for my uncle case, he can still be allow to a management committee? He has no unit under his name.

If yes, where can i get a copy of the act to present to the management office for the coming AGM so allow him to be nominated management committee?

He is very active in the community.

Please kindly advise if you are aware of this law.
