Can the lawyer hold on the money due to seller of property forever ? There is no clause in SPA which states the max period a lawyer can hold the sum of money even after SPA is signed and key handed over to buyer. Please help comment. Last year I completed a transaction via Aniza Aziz & Associates in July but until now the lawyer has yet to settle full payment due to me as seller. Since I warned her about reporting the case to ASDB, she had paid only partial sum. What other action can I take against them other than making a complaint to ASDB (Advocates & Solicitor Disciplinary Board) governed by Bar Council.
